Alternatively, it could imply that the body was dumped there after the search. Possible, but unlikely, because the body was dumped with clothes and personal effects. Anyone who would have kept the body hidden for some time would NOT have dumped her Sony Walkman with her weeks after.Good point about the Walkman.
Also, it is very unlikely they dumped her afterwards because of the location of the site to parking.
The killer would have had to carry her 100++ pound body a very long way from parking, up rugged rocky trails, across hills, etc., and run the risk of discovery. Dismemberment is out -- they wouldn't have hidden everything in one place.
