I homeschool, and believe me, my twelve year old can teach my four year old what she needs to know! This is a power grab, pure and simple.

While there are many talented and resourcefull teachers in the public system, your comments directed at the teachers unions and educational beaureaucrats are very true.

Look at what is happening in Washington, DC. The Washington, DC, council wants MANDATORY preschool for all children aged three and over, some even as young as 2 1/2 if they reach a certain date. Of course the public schools want this. It means more money for them and jobs. It's also easiser to indoctrinate children at an earlier age.

Every Marxist knows that in order to indoctrinate youngsters in supreme allegiance to the State, they first must be weaned from their two other allegiances: their family and their religion. By age six or seven, children already have a firm concept of family and their place in it.
