I recently posted here my lettre, "STOP AIDS BY STOPPING THE SINS."

Since I am a Nurse, I also posted my lettre on Nursing Spectrum, on the Nurse to Nurse board.

I tell you this because I want anyone who is concerned about stopping the horror of AIDS to read the outrageous comments of so called Professional Nurses re my lettre on how to stop AIDS.

Before you go there, read my post yesterday here on Free Republic entitled, "STOP AIDS BY STOPPING THE SINS." Then go to www.nursingspectrum.com, Nurse to Nurse, to my post, "STOP AIDS BY STOPPING THE SINS" and "STOP THE SINS!" above that.

What you will find is that 8 of 10 Nurses who commented prefer to uphold political correctness and the interests of politics and money in stead of telling people the simple truths about AIDS and condoms!

Like what?

a. That at least 88% of US AIDS cases are due to preventable behaviours of gay male intercourse, intravenous street drug abuse or heterosexual promiscuity - as per the US Centre for Disease Control.

b. That male latex condoms, even if used perfectly every time (which is humanly impossible), are no more effective against HIV infection than 85% - as per the Physicians Consortium and other doctor groups.

c. To prevent most HIV and thus AIDS cases in America, people must avoid the behaviours of gay intercourse, IV drug abuse and heterosexual promiscuity.

d. That means a return to traditional Judeo-Christian morality and marriage.

e. That requires, as well as the above, forget about pre-marital casual sex, adultery, etc. Abstinence until marriage, then marriage between a man and woman, within a mutually faithful, loving, uninfected bond, hopefully for life is what is required.

f. There is just one little problem with my obvious solutions - they are not politically correct! Read the responses of these so called professional Nurses and judge for yourself!

"I'm real curious, with all these people who seem to know exactly what God wants and what his opinions are, where do they get their information? Seems they cite the bible most times. Ok then, who wrote the bible, and when was the first edition available? Is this all word of mouth passed down through the generations until someone (with human failings) sat down to write it? And what ever happened to WWJD? Would he walk past an AIDS victim saying "you are a sinner". I note that "good Christians" always cite their beliefs, but rarely cite any of Jesus' teachings. Do they rip out the new testiment and only read the old testiment?"

All one need do is quote Jesus himself when the prostitue was brought before him and the Pharasees asked if sshe should be stoned. Jesus responded with His famous saying, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". What's interesting about this saying which many secularists and amoralists like to use is that they fail to cite the rest of what Jesus told the prostitute, "Go now and sin no more".

Keep on telling the truth.

Well......I'm surprised they didn't remove your post - and thankful they did not also.....GOD forbid YOU should be JUDGEMENTAL - judgement is what keeps us SAFE, but so many have been idiotized that they don't understand that any longer. Amazing responses. Although probably the ones that agree with you simply don't respond because they don't want to get flamed. I love the ones that call you "hate filled" while calling you every dirty name in the book. Their minds are totally closed - amazing how blind they are to it. You can practically hear them frothing at the mouth in their ludicrous answers. How dare you attack their deceptive preconcieved notions?

I remember a microbiology lecture I had several years before AIDS was discovered. The professor expounded on his theory that a great epidemic was just around the corner. I remember thinking, with the sexual revolution, it probably will be some kind of STD. Who would have thought it would be a life threatening disease? I remember they first called it GRID - Gay Related Immunodeficiency Disorder. But that name turned out to be politically incorrect. Myself, I would rather hear the truth.

Still Care says "I would rather hear the truth." But very few people would. The disgraceful reactions to RWBaral's post are a sign of the intolerance of liberal opinion. Good on you, RW, you spoke out. Your views were compassionate to the patients (I didn't see any sign of "blaming" that those posters groaned about) and quite accurate when you spoke of self-inflicted harm. I have been in the same boat as you, I have spoken out in academic circles, that AIDS is caused by certain behaviours, and have been throughly blasted by everyone around me. They can't stand hearing it. Because it is the truth.

What these health care professionals fail to realize is that God's laws are always in harmony with natural laws. Failing to obey them has natural consequences. Disregard of God's laws regarding marriage has led to the spread of disease, infertility, and a host of other natural outcomes. Are they punishments from God? No, just the natural result of sneering at morality.

Regardless of how God or anyone else feels about homosexuality, monogamy is a practice which promotes health, and protects you from disease. It is incredible that these liberals are so committed to lawlessness that they abandon common sense.

Just reviewed several of the responses on the other website. Amazing to me that these responses were from other nurses. Of course when you consider that in order for them to become nurses they had to attend some institution of higher learning where they were exposed to the liberal attitudes rampant in those cesspools of spiritual and ethical confusion. Too bad students cannot be innoculated against bad ideas prior to going to those schools. Of couse they could be innoculated if parents would teach them properly while still young. Many parents now days send their kids off to public school with no question as to what they are learning then pack them off to college much the same way, giving them over to the liberals from about 6 years of age. Then they wonder where they get the liberal attitudes.

I belong to another board with quite a few RNs and public school teachers. The dogged adherence of both groups to PC is truly sickening. Even more disgusting, though, is their total inability to apply logic to any problem even remotely related to PCness. Perhaps it's because both these groups are mostly female dominated. Still, it is truly scary that our society relies so much on both these professions.

Again, I think that, generally most of the PC-ness found in those professions can be traced back to the liberal arts schools. In my profession most have attended engineering schools and seem to have a more pragmatic view of such issues. I know it's not good to make generalizations but that has been my experience. To prove the exception to the rule however, one of the most flaming liberals I have ever known was a mechanical engineer, but then he was from the Seattle area. Probably going to get flamed for these remarks.

In fact, with consistent and correct condom usage, an HIV-negative person would have to have sex with an HIV-positive person for 50 years before realizing any significant risk of seroconversion (ie: "catching" HIV). Correct and consistent condom use is over 99% effective in preventing HIV.

Whether condoms are really that effective we will never know because no one uses them correctly and consistantly. But keep pushing that theoritical non-sense and keep watch more and more people die from AIDS.

Correct! Obviously either they don't work or no one uses them if AIDS is at epidemic proportions. I would like to see the numbers comparing AIDS in the "gay community" versus AIDS in the intravenous drug users and heterosexuals. Of course I suspect there is a lot of crossover between groups and a solidly verifiable number could not be attained.

Nurses don't want folks to stop getting ill with LONG TERM, government subsidized illnesses and treatments that last forever or till the sick person dies. VERY few of them REALLY care to heal the sick, prevent and destroy illness. It is their livelihood.

They will talk about sexual freedom, moral tolerance and all... (which I can agree with in some measure) but the REAL reason they don't want the behavior to stop, and the illness related to it, is because it is worth MILLIONS to them. Billions in fact.

The "freedom" being touted here, and the "moral tolerance" being espoused is but a thin cover for GREED and AVARICE of the most heinous nature that is infecting an entire community.

NO. Authorities are lying to the American public about the effectiveness of so called safe sex. The Physicians Consortium and the Catholic Physicians Association report that, even if used 100% correctly 100% of the time, male latex condoms are no more effective in preventing HIV than 85%. So let's go with the most optomistic figure of 85%. Let's take 100 uninfected people and pair them with 100 HIV infected people of the opposite sex. Now let's tell them all that "safe sex" will protect them all against HIV if they use the condoms all the time and always perfectly. Now let's give the 100 couples time for sexual intercourse and time for seroconversion for HIV infection. The results? "ONLY" 15 of the 100 uninfected people will seroconvert to HIV positive. Oh, did someone "foret" to tell everyone about the significant, widely documented failure rates of male latex condoms in preventing HIV infection? Like becuase condoms rip. Like becuase condoms spoill. Like because condoms fall off after ejaculation. Like because some condoms are defective for various reasons. Like because male latex conndoms have microscopic holes in their walls that are 50 plus larger than the HIV virus. Oh, well let's keep spouting the medical lies of "safe sex" and how it will protect everyone so well! Who benefits? Condom manufacturers. Abortion clinics. Pharmacutical companies. Politicians. On and on and on... NO. People and school children in particular are NOT being told the truth about the significant and well documented failure rates of male latex condoms! And we haven't even touched here on how completely useless condoms are against HPV and HSV, nor against pregnancy! Come on. Stop the lies!
