There was a article on FR this week about fingerprint ID systems for point-of-sale, employee access, etc. They have been "hacked". As the hacker hacked, you can take someone's prints, make a gelatin mold, wear it on your finger(s), and after the crime -- eat the molded fake finger-print.

I'll look for that article, thanks. What a horrible set of circumstances, to be falsely convicted of something on faked evidence. We've had a number of men recently set free here in Oklahoma when dna evidence proved they could not have done the crimes. Some have spent 15 years or more rotting away, pieces of their lives they can never retrieve. Families broken up, lost, futures destroyed. It's only slightly better than the death sentence.
