Thr Indian offensive was due to begin in the first week of June, but 2 days ago (due to pressure and signs Musharraf was softening) the Indian PM asked this to be put on hold. If it's kept on hold until the end of June, then it will not happen. Climate and financial restrictions mean that there is almost a 'now-or-never' window open.

If it's kept on hold until the end of June, then it will not happen. Climate and financial restrictions mean that there is almost a 'now-or-never' window open. Indian Defense Minister George Fernandes has already said that it won't happen before September, after the elections in Kashmir are held. In fact, he's ordered his officers to take all this year's vacation by September, and a lot of them are now doing so.
I think the chances of an imminent war are quite slim.
