Aides of the Senate Intelligence Committee leaked the classified document to AP. Apparently AP will publish anything the Democrats give them, so they ran the spin from the DNC war room's point of view. That was without, we should add, any input from the White House whatsoever. The Bush Administration didn't even get a courtesy call. The next day, the liberal TV morons in the morning all ran with the story. Again, not one of these DNC sycophants bothered to do the slightest bit of background research.

Not wanting to be left out, Senator Joe Lieberman sent out Hillary Clinton to be the official skunk at the Bush garden party. She was stupid enough to do it, too, as Lieberman knew she would.

Their lie didn't hold water. Fastest on the correction was Matt Drudge.

A quick search shows there were over 50 such reports published within the last 5 years. Most, if not all, of these reports were published while Clinton was president.

Those of you who are not familiar with political terms may find a list of defintions handy at

We have known since 1993 that OBL was coming for us. We have known at least since then that the Iraqis were involved, and that Saudi money was involved.

Neither of these items are secret, that the 1993 WTC plotters had Iraqi connections, nor that OBL was backed by Saudi money.

So to accuse Bush of knowing in advance that OBL was going to attack us is like accusing him of knowing the sun was coming up the next morning. He knew it, and so did everyone on the Intelligence committee, and so did everyone out in the public who pays attention to the news.

Stories were circulating in the weeks prior to 9/11 that OBL was planning something really big. So I knew it, probably most of the people reading this website had seen these reports. And if we knew, then you know the congressmen knew or should have known.

The problem is that tough political decisions can not be made in a peactime environment. We are now in wartime, and we still flinch at making obvious moves against foreigners from Al Qaeda nations; it will take one more dramatic event before those actions will be politically possible.

And there is the reality that the kind of people who rise in a peace-time military, and a peace-time CIA, are not the kind of people you need to fight a war. Once the war starts, (and the war has started), action-oriented people begin to be identified. Action oriented policies begin to be implemented. It takes time, but the shift is underway. I would suggest that investigations to figure out what went wrong with the CIA and the military are unnecessary; what went wrong is that it was peacetime. Tough actions are not appropriate in peacetime. But we have been attacked, we have an identifiable adversary, and we are now finding the right people to do the job.

"Not wanting to be left out, Senator Joe Lieberman, the founder of all the Congressional socialist organizations (New Democrat Network(1), Democratic Leadership Council(2) and other "Third Way" socialist groups)"

...And here Bill CLINTON was allowing himself the credit for founding all those Third Way organizations!! Isn't Clinton STILL their fearless leader? (I haven't cruised any Third Way cesspit sites in two years) No, I didn't check the links. I was GOING to...then the overwhelming need to wash my hands in bleach came upon me...think I'll go take a shower.

Great commentary, BTW. BUMP.
