50 BILLS BLOCKED!
The House has approved 50 substantive bills that have yet to be either approved or rejected by the Senate. The Senate should act on the DASCHLE-50.
Senator Daschle pledged to pass a budget by Memorial Day, but no budget has been passed in the Senate. Failure to pass a budget in the Senate would mark a historic first since the Budget Act of 1974 began requiring them. In the midst of a judicial crisis, only 27% of the President's initial federal judicial nominees have been confirmed. Nominees for executive branch positions who are still waiting confirmation include U.S. Attorneys, U.S. Marshals, and Ambassadors.
Has there ever, in the history of the United States of America, been this many bills blocked by the Senate!?
What is the record for most bills blocked by the Senate?
The Daschle 50, winner of the Most Partisan Senate Award, commercials with Daschle for diapers, drain plugs, ear plugs, etc. The possibilities for campaigning are endless.
Who does the GOP have to blame for it's current woes? Who is the Senate Minority Leader? Will the GOP replace him? Will the GOP ask Trent Lott to step down from Minority Leader? No indeed they will not. Failure has become easier for the GOP to deal with than sucess. If a Conservative were to run for Trent Lotts senate seat would the RNC support the conservative? That is the real issue needing imediate attention. How did the GOP get itself in such a disgusting mess?
Everybody can get as mad at the Dems as they want. But remember the ones selling out to them. When the GOP stops acting like a bunch of whipped puppies and start fighting like a Pit Bull then maybe the respect and strenght will be there again. Right now all Daschle has to do is say jump and the GOP & RNC says yes sir how high. Oh please Mister Daschel don't call us mean spirited Conservatives anymore. Hey people the Mean Spirited Conservative ideas is what got the GOP both houses to start. Blind Guides they are indeed.
Don't blame me
I voted for Kodos
Don Nickles (R-OK) has already announced his intention to challenge Lott for the leadership when the Senate is organized after the 2002 elections.
Like weeds, they have slowly been creeping back onto the news. They spew their noxiousness, then retreat into weasel-worded denials.
Great picture.
SAVE THE DASCHLE 50.
Seems like we can now look forward to starting the:

So true, and it's been that way for so long.
