We may be seeing both these countries against us down the road..

Russia needs the money. China needs the goods. Isn't that what capitalism is all about? United States could buy military stuff in Russia and remove Brezhniev era sanctions for civilian exports. This way Russians will not need to look for money from China, Iran or similar places.
