I purposely did not include a source link because linking to Dem sites is discouraged, but if you want to confirm or verify what I have posted, freepmail me and I will freepmail you the link. I hope this thread stays up, because while this is not a scientific sample of comments in any way, I think it is useful to understand just how desperate these poor Dems are feeling about this gov race. They already know they don't have a candidate who can win. That's got to be depressing. Maybe they will get to the point where they try to understand why so many people are voting for Gov. Bush. If they are reading this, and want to know why, they can check out www.jeb.org

This is interesting. My niece's husband is involved with the Fla dem party, both democrats. It's nice to know about the opinions of Fla dem voters before I ask my niece 'Waz up?'!

Very interesting. The poor Dems sound totally demoralized. Did these comments seem representative to you or were there a lot of optimistic people as well?

Summer, you are a one-person pro-Jeb research-engine army! Your posts are half the reason I log on to FR every day (RKBA being the other half)!

Keep up the GREAT work!

Any and all information provided concerning liberal politics and the supposed free press is suspect in my mind.

McBride (the $54billion budget guy) and Reno (ol' Shake&Bake) will do and try ever dirty trick imaginable to overcome JEB's popularity. And although this "fly on the wall" info is encouraging and humorous, the downside is a blase' attitude developing in the Republican voter base which could spell disaster.

Vigilance and Republican encouragement should superseed liberal DemonRat indifference. Their indifference equates to voters ignoring the need to vote.

Not only should JEB win, but he should win so big that his opponent leaves politics!!!!!!! ROFL :-)

Semper Fi, Have a safe and reverent Memorial Day.

Baby Killer Janet Reno is far more criminal that the Clinton's. If you believe in setting babies afire and pointing loaded rifles into the face of a little boy, more power to you.

Great job as usual Summer. I'm waiting for something like this to show up in print regarding Gray Davis in CA. I have yet to find a positive comment about the man but also know there are the sheeple out there who just vote for the D no matter what or who. Simon is working hard and "outing" Davis's every move so hopefully some of this stuff will stick before November. The activists over here just held off a SUV/gas tax (AB 1058) from being voted on in the Assembly and I'm sure sdigned by Davis. With a $24 Billion dollar debt, he's gonna take it from us somehow! Sorry, I got off the subject...GO JEB!

The funniest part of this is that they're so deluded to think that McBride would even consider being Lt Gov to Uncle Janet. It's also pretty telling that some RATs don't trust his RAT bona fides. How often do you ever hear a RAT questioning one of its own? These Reno cultists are pretty darn scary. I think the party will pressure her to drop out, and she'll use her health as an excuse. Does anybody know how much party support she's getting?

Ha ha. I love this. Instead of handing an embarrassing to defeat to George W Bush, as the Democrats envisioned in this race, they are finding out that Florida really likes Jeb.

I am looking forward to the trouncing.

Thanks for this very USEFUL thread that we should try to keep at the top until the Election. Sometimes CHATTER from the opponents is worth more to undecideds than all the data and statistics they tend to avoid anyway.

Like you, I may post something from a democrat but I RESIST providing their links here at FR. No free dem guided tours for undecideds courtesy of Floriduh Voter. LOL

Good work summer! I just love to read your threads, have them all bookmarked!

Good news for us, but we will not be complacent!! We shall work hard to get Jeb re-elected just as if he were running against
"the he-coon that walks at night". :-)

They're correct about Reno, she's unelectable in Florida. They've got McBride wrong, however. If McBride wins the Democratic primary - a real long shot at this point but possible, he'll make it a contest. Bush, in spite of a huge PR effort to make everyone think he's the most popular Floridian in the state's history, is a lot less popular in northern Florida than he needs to be against a viable opponent. If McBride can keep from being perceived as moving too far left and still win the Democratic primary - almost impossible, I know - then he'll draw plenty of votes from those who simply won't vote for Bush. Incidentally, many of these same people will vote straight Republican otherwise.

In 1998, Bush gained 121,000 votes over his 1994 race. In contrast, MacKay lost 350,000 votes Chiles got in 1994. I'd argue that the 121,000 votes Bush picked up were due to in migration. Bush's sharp move to the left in 1998, IMHO, cost him more votes than he gained. I know conservative Republican voters who voted for Bush in 1994 who voted for MacKay on the theory divided government (particularly with a weak Governor like MacKay would have been) would be preferable to JEB taking over the Republican Party.

In sum, the Democrats lost the Governor's race in 1998, the Republicans won only because MacKay ran a terrible campaign. So far it appears the Democrats will make a mess of it again, JEB better hope so.
