""No one likes the idea that people came into the country illegally, "Ziglar said during a joint press conference with Mexican officials at the Tucson Border Patrol station, "but it's not practical or reasonable to think that you're going to be able to round them all up and send them home.""

I have had a daydream that goes like this... The Feds make an announcement saying, "On this (date) in three months ahead, all men and women between the ages of 18 & 45, will be required to register with a local draft board. This will be required of citizens and non-citizens alike.

For three months there would be loud discussion and signs of preparation for the coming event. Of course it would never be implimented.

For 3 months it would be interesting to see what the numbers of illegals would bail out of this country if they thought they might get drafted. It might make a good dent in a start to a roundup.

This is just a musing so, don't start any pro/con arguments. I just laugh at the mental image of thousands of illegals heading south at the thought of getting drafted. ;0)

It appears that there is a new game in town. Or, towns. The rules of which are being "discovered" by 15 year olds. That is, 9th graders who will in 3 years time be "required" by law to register for the draft. They're getting wise to the United Nations poice academy where the USA supplies the majority of "rookies and police cadets".

Now, if 'all' the illegals can't be rounded up, how could 'all' the 18 year old who refuse to register be rounded up? Would not a refusal to register be "illegal"? Currently, not registering is a felony. Yep, being an "Undocumented potential draftee", that's illegal.

So, we'll sheepishy wring our hands (again) and just meeky say; "We can't round them all up". Dodging the draft coud be individually useful. An individual may want to be a governor one day. Or President even. Think that 15 year olds don't know this? Think again.

Oh woe to the New World Order when Americans prefer Kansas to Kabul and Brooklyn to the Balkans. We will be "powerless" as the talking heads enjoy spouting. Then we can all find "closure", their other favorite word.
