I've learned my lesson. I'm a Florida resident, and I haven't missed an election since I was 18. On election day in 2000, the first thing I saw at the polling place was a station wagon, parked right next to the door, covered with obscene anti-Bush bumper stickers. When I took my daughter into the polling place, the volunteer helping her with "KidsVote" was wearing a big Gore button. I should have immediately called the local media and the Elections office and raised hell about blatant electioneering in a polling place.

Believe you me, if I see any irregularities this November (and I will have my eyes wide open) I am going to scream bloody murder.

I agree with you...my first voting experience in Florida was during this past Presidential election (2000) and I also witnessed similar anti-Bush displays, although not as extreme as what you witnessed. I will be sure to remember all that I see during this next election and report any "discrimination", although I doubt the press is interested in the Republican's complaints.

Don't just scream it, videotape it.

And we should probably organize FR Election Fraud Squads in every state to be able to immediately converge on any site where a Freeper reporters illegal activity, so we can collect overwhelming amounts of evidence and make multiple 911 calls, FBI calls, etc.

Just to say it, when my wife and I went to the polling place that November here in West Boca, it was a pleasent experience. The lines were long but orderly, people were generally very well behaved, the staff was polite and friendly and I saw no signs of Gore buttons or anything. They couldn't have been Democrats... perhaps I live in one of those PBC minority conservative barrios? *grin*

This stuff is definitely illegal. No politicking allowed near polling places. I forgot how near it is prohibited but your examples are definitely within the forbidden zone.

In El Paso, Democratic campaign aides and sometimes the candidates themselves, carry posters right up to the door of the voting booths. They block entrances by running up to the voter with ambitious, loud pleas to read their literature and vote for their candidate. They pull cars up, open trunks and they hand out t-shirts bearing the picture of their candidate to citizens entering the voting area. If you say anything about violations, they scoff. The only reason they get away with it is Republicans don't run for anything in El Paso.
