Not only is Dan irrelevant, he is also ignorant.
In a local radio interview in Nov. 2000, Rather asserted that Bill Klinton could legally run for President again (and automatically win, of course) in 2004. Of course, Dan has probably NEVER looked at the US Constitution...

Then there was the immortal quote from Danny Boy last year on O'Reilly: "Yes, I think Bill Clinton is an honest man."

The needle has not moved off zero on Rather's credibility meter in 30+ years.

"The needle has not moved off zero on Rather's credibility meter in 30+ years."

Yes.
That was true of his Credibility Meter; it's probably frozen in place after all this time.

But...
The BS Meter on the other hand slammed so hard, it broke.
Membership in the CCRM (in good standing) has its privileges; and so, you're entitled to know some important details, here.
The most important detail being, the BS Meter's needle deflected so hard, the sucker's now permanently bent.

...FYI & FWIW: Electrical Engineers recognize this condition as, "Peyronie's Needle."

As much trouble as I may be in for saying this, I must say that Peggy Noonan thought Rather tried to include both sides in his programs in the 1980s.

And, the proof is in the pudding. Danno is consistently running a distant third to Peter and Tom. Over time even the sheeple see through Dan's biased and clearly Dim-slanted style. Peter & Tom do a better job of appearing balanced, but Danno no longer makes much effort. He's out there as a Clinton/Dim hack, and luvin it!
