DEMS BUSHWHACKED BY WHAT DID BUSH KNOW' ATTACK
New York Post ^ | May 30, 2002 | DEBORAH ORIN

A LOT of Democrats are suddenly sounding very sorry they attacked President Bush on what he knew about 9/11 before it happened - and the polls show why. Less than two weeks after Democrats from Sen. Hillary Clinton to House Democratic Leader Dick Gephardt went after Bush, it seems clear the president has won this round.

Never fear, the RATs will be back. This is only a temporary setback on their glorious road to national socialism.

"From a political point of view, does it make sense to fight an election about terrorism? No," Mellman says. "It's not politics."

Baloney, Mark. To you guys everything is about politics. Your problem is that your leaders are dumb.

Good post my Texas friend. I am so focused on the November elections. . . hoping that we see the American people send a message to these vitrolic DemoRats like they did to Clinton in '94. God bless America!

- - Dem pollster Mark Mellman claims the proof that Democrats are acting on principle in asking "what did Bush know" is precisely that it's dumb politics for them for this fall's congressional election.

He tries to turn their jealous, mean-spirited pettiness into "principle". Come to think of it, that is what most of their principle consists of.

To everyone who can read...the leader of the Demorat Party is our famous illustrious former president Slick Willie who will fondly be remembered by every ten year old in the United States and probably the world what the meaning of oral sex is.....Slick and his bully boys are running the party of the Democrats. It is totally corrupted.

Hypocritical, wouldn't you say? Of all papers, the NY Post had the most misleading and damaging headline:

BUSH KNEW!!

And without admitting culpability on their own part, they snicker about how the Dimocrats screwed up. We're happy the Dems shot themselves in the foot. But has the Post apologized?

"Bushwacked" is a nice pun, but it implies that someone ambushed them. No, they pulled out their big cannons--for the second time this spring--and shot themselves in the foot. Like the Enron scandal, this was clearly a planned and orchestrated campaign to smear Bush. It was clearly talked over ahead of time by the high muckamucks in the media and the DNC. Everyone was assigned his or her task ahead of time--what to say and when to say it. And, thank God, it backfired. Gephardt embarrassed himself? What about Senator Hillary!?

Although it is obvious that I am not a fan of Bush, I despise this "what did Bush know" whispering campaign.

The most anyone, including the FBI and CIA, might have been able to know before the morning of Sept. 11th, was that something involving a hijacking was going to happen but nobody knew exactly when or where. Yes, they could have clamped tight security on airports in advance of Sept. 11th ... we've seen just how cheery people are about having their tweezers and nail clippers confiscated, being frisked and scanned, and having to come and wait two hours before departure now, when the reason has been amply demonstrated, so imagine how they would have behaved if that regimen had been put into effect without a conspicuous cause. Even so, I bet OBL's people would have come up with a Plan B.

The "warning" prior to Sept. 11th would have resembled the sort of warnings given to residents of San Francisco that there's gonna be a big earthquake someday but we don't know exactly when.
