I wonder if Dan Rather will report this with the same level of enjoyment that he showed when reporting the Bush daughters drinking incident in Texas? I will be willing to bet that this story is treated the same as he non/reported the Gary Condit, Chandra Levy story. Any bettors?

Theres a nice collection of AP photos over on yahoo of Jenna B. and a story about her requesting that the press leave her alone when she traveled with her mom last week. I guess unless she gets stinking drunk Katie and the other talking heads don't want to talk about her.

BALONY. We're the ones who read and react to followers of the Clinton (ALL OF THE CLINTONS) dragging the Bush girls (ALL OF THEM) through the mud every single chance they get....even after they've been quiet for MONTHS. When the Sr Clintons asked the media to black out on Chelsea's occasional lapses in good behavior, the media did it.

When the Bush family asked for the same favor....WHAT HAPPENED?? We know what happened The media not only STALKED all the Bush daughters everywhere they went...they dragged the Bush family reguest for equal consideration of their daughters through their press as well!

If they can dish it out, THEN LET THEM TAKE IT IN RETURN.

Anyone who thinks Chelsea should get special treatment because we think it's unfair that she GETS special treatment and the Bush girls don't....shut up.

So, in other words, Jenna was breaking the law, and Chelsea wasn't. Seems like there's a difference, to me.

Frankly, I'd be suspicious of any kid her age who didn't go out and get blitzed once in a while, at least until she'd done it a few times and learned better. Some things have to be experienced....

Her mother is NOT the smartest woman in the world and God spare us if she was...'cause it wouldn't say much for the rest of us. She was given that title by the press or NOW or some other usless entity. Having said that...I think we should let Chelsea and the Bush Twins along with any other young people who have parents or relatives in public life. I am sure Chelsea must be ashamed to hear the horrid things her father does and maybe this is the only way she can put them from her mind. She is a young woman and has a right to drink herself into a stupor as long as she doesn't drive. Most young people do this now and then as well as "responsible adults." I am not defending the Clintons. I think they are despicable and poor excuses for parents and human beings but...their daughter is not responsible for the acts of their parents. Please...stop the nasty criticisms of her...she's been dealing with these parents for a long time and it can't be easy for her. Let's try to be a little more gentle with her and all the others that hit the papers. I think it's the right thing to do. Otherwise, we lower ourselves to the standards of the streets.

I first saw that lovely image on FR. I posted in on another drunk chelsea thread, along with a comment that I had done like that fellow more than once. I'm not inclined to treat the presidential daughters too harshly if they get thoroughly pissed a few times. I managed it when at University, and I had a real major and really had to graduate with decent grades. I wish the "mainstream" press would either leave Jenna and Barbara alone, or trash chelsea. I would prefer the former, but expecting consistency from leftists isn't really very smart. So I don't.
