Chelsea suffers after night out
by Anthony FranceChelsea Clinton had to be helped out of a top nightclub by her boyfriend after an evening on the town.
American Ian Klaus, 22, was forced to support the daughter of ex-President Bill Clinton to prevent her falling on to the pavement outside the Embassy in Mayfair.
Chelsea with Ian Klaus - he had to help her home after a bout of heavy drinking Miss Clinton, also 22, who is studying for a master's degree in international relations at Oxford University, left the club with a coat over her head to spare her blushes.
Before leaving, she had to make two or three dashes to the lavatory. She was helped into a car by friends, but once inside slumped across her boyfriend's lap.
A clubgoer said: "Chelsea couldn't even speak or stand. She nearly fell over and didn't know what was going on. She appeared to be drunk and her friends had to run to get a car for her. They had to pull her legs to get her inside."
The night had begun in the trendy Met Bar with a bout of heavy drinking. When the couple left that bar, they were seen by onlookers in a passionate embrace.
It was a far cry from Miss Clinton's first few months at Oxford, when she was said to have stayed in with friends at night drinking coffee.
Mr Klaus, a Rhodes scholar who is studying history at Jesus College, Oxford, comes from one of California's wealthiest families.
He helped to boost Miss Clinton's confidence when she started to miss home and feel vulnerable following the 11 September attacks.
Well, it looks like the acorn didn't fall very far from the tree.
In the clinton family, faces and laps are always getting together.
how could this happen to the daugher of the "smartest woman in the worldIt must be from Webb's side of the family.
That's sick.
That said,
Every one here who has ever had one too many can shut up.
Every one here who didn't like it when Jenna was dragged through the press for the very same thing can shut up too.
Bunch of hypocrites, every one of you.
And your hypocrisy severly detracts from the perception of your judgement, and that of FR in general.
That is all.

Note to Moderator: I didn't post "the picture", this time. Happy?
Like Steve-b said with those parents who wouldn't spend a lot of time drunk. In fact, just thinking about them tempts me to head for a bar.
Aww, come on. We're among friends here ! ! For the uninitiated, let's see it ! ! Please !
SHAME ON YOU for dragging this little, tiny transgression, by the traumatized daughter of SUCH A SAINTLY FAMILY, through the MUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The BUSH GIRLS, now....
I can't go on.
Was that enough exclamation points though, or should I have used more?
No kidding!
What I can't figure out, is why Ian isn't stinking drunk 24/7 as well. If those were going to be my in-laws, I'd be holding a bottle of everclear, teetering on the edge of a bridge as passersby yelled "Jump!"
The girl is trash, like the old man.
Hey... Be careful what you say... Webb Hubble was once Assistant AG, you know...
