Chelsea suffers after night out

So, in other words, Jenna was breaking the law, and Chelsea wasn't. Seems like there's a difference, to me.

Me, too. But public intoxication is breaking the law in my state. England? Haven't a clue.

It seems Chelsea is experiencing some problems--probably result of growing up in a dysfunctional family. I can't think of anything worse than having her parents for parents. How would she begin to know right from wrong?

Had to take a shower the next morning to get the pillowcase peeled off my face. Doesn't mean my family was dysfunctional (I was living in a fraternity house, not my parents').

Nope. Personally, I prefer a mild buzz to actually feeling drunk...but there was this party once...what a hangover.

I could care less if she stays drunk for the next year...as long she doesn't cause anyone to get hurt. The entire thing is her problem. It's the whole media double standard that gets me. Even this story of Chelsea falling down drunk is spun to make it look like it was the strain of 9-11....rather than just cutting loose and going a little overboard like all kids do.

The Bush girls are spun as alcoholics, while Chelsea is just overwraught from 9-11. Rubbish. In the end, all those girls are doing the same stupid things many of us did when we were kids. Doesn't make it right...but it doesn't account for media hypocrisy, either.

I partially agree with you. I don't see this being a front page story, but I don't see how Bill and Hill's parenting was a huge issue in it. I understand that upbringing is important, but my parents were great, and I still went out and did some incredibly stupid things. My only saving grace was that when I was young and stupid, reporters didn't want my photo.

I don't care for the Clintons, but a college student getting drunk isn't exactly the most unusual thing in the world.

Conservative? Most liberals think I'm conservative....and some conservatives think I'm a liberal.

Don't worry about it. Those posters who are accusing us of being hypocritical are REALLY just trying to tell us to be be quiet and let this blow over. Sort of like the freeper posters who demanded that we, the "silent majority" go back to being silent because we're makeing "fools of ourselves" with all this political activism.

To these posters, activism, outspokeness and sarcasm are the pervue of the political left.

I didn't like when Jenna was dragged through the press. But hey, if they are going to drag Jenna, they might as well drag Chelsea. I have to admit, what's fair is fair. Same as above. A story of an illegal margarita drink ordered by Jenna is certainly worth as much as a drunken puking pissing Chelsea.

I agree that it would be unfair to concentrate reporting on Chelsea just because she is Clinton's daughter. As far as I am concerned she can drink and puke to her heart's delight and no one should care. BUT, if she continues to seek celebrity status, and if perchance she is trying to position herself for some future political position then she is fair game, just like conservatives who screw up.

It seems to me you never fully recovered from your intoxication. You prove that alcoohol damages brain cells.

I didn't limit Chelsea's latest drunken spree to her dysfunctional parents, you did. I think her behavior in the past few months indicates she having some problems adjusting.

As for your drunken night in the frat house, of course it wasn't your parents fault, but it's nothing to brag about. It sounds like a typical immature response to peer pressure.
