[history]
June 2, 2002 -- For all anyone knew, Alexis Leduc was a simple, hard-working maintenance chief, a devoted husband and dad. It took his death in the World Trade Center to reveal his far more complicated double life.
Now, the woman with whom he shared his last 23 years, a secret wife whom he married in 1995, and two children from a long-ago partner are locked in a messy bid to claim the big bucks his death is yielding.

He probably called in sick that day. Now he's living with another woman, just laughing his a$$ off.

This article is more proof of my theory that there is an infinite supply of stupid women in the world.

Come to think of it, if they're going to give payouts to homosexual partners, how on earth can they justify dicriminating against polygamous relationships. I'm just waiting for the next story about a guy killed in the WTC who had a sheep...

No polygamy here. He was only legally married once and never divorced as far as I can tell from the article. The other was his "shack-up honey" for 23 yrs. who considered herself his wife. That and a $2 will get you a cup of java at Starbucks.

A SECRET WIFE? If the marriage license is genuine then it's hardly SECRET. In fact, it's in the public record. You can't get any less secret than that can you?

How much you wanna bet they ALL cash in?

How much you wanna bet that they all say "It's not about the money" on their way to to bank?

I have a friend whose grandfather was a secret bigamist. The two families didn't know until they met at his funeral. I wonder - is this more common than we think?
To: OldFriend
The body of Leduc, a maintenance supervisor at Fiduciary Trust Co., has not been found. Man! I made it out alive! They are never going to find all the bodies! This two wives thing is getting complicated. I wonder......

My family member was murdered last year(not at the world trade center), and I didnt get a dime. How come? I could sure use $1.5 million. Our loss is as great as anybody else who has had a family member murdered.

Let's see, I turn on the TV and see them big buildings go boom
Hmmmm... I work there part-time nights... whose to say I wasn't there when they came down?
Isa and Andrea will share with me their windfall.
Hmmmm... what a country!!

2$? Man, talk about inflation.
To: Bigoleelephant
That should be $2?

Not sure of your meaning here. "Native" means that's where they were born. P.R. is a U.S. territory.
Your point?
