The Ballot Initiative to End the (MA) Income Tax

"If a tree falls in the forest, and no one hears it, does it make a sound?"

--Question from Philosophy 101

"If the Biggest Massachusetts Tax Revolt since the Boston Tea Party is in full swing, and the Big Boston Media refuses to report it, is it really happening?"

--Question for Journalistic Ethics 101

+++PROGRESS REPORT FROM CARLA HOWELL AND MICHAEL CLOUD+++

Dear Friends,

We're closing in on the halfway mark. Dramatic progress.

We're getting closer and closer to launching our Massive Prime TV Ad Blitz on Boston ABC, CBS, and NBC.

We refuse to be censored and silenced by the Biased Big Boston Media.

We're not going to let the Boston Globe and Boston Herald refuse to report news they don't like. News about making government small. News about a huge Tax Cut. News about our growing Libertarian campaigns.

We're not going to let the Big Government Bias of the TV News Departments at Boston ABC, CBS, and NBC black out and censor news about our Ballot Initiative to End the Income Tax in Massachusetts.

We've told you about their concerted 8-month news blackout. About their concentrated effort to silence and suffocate us.

As Obi-Wan Kenobi said to Darth Vader, "If you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine."

**Good News**

We're only 4 days away from completing the last phase of the petition drive to put our Initiative to End the Income Tax on the Ballot.

Whether the Boston Globe and Boston Herald Censors like it or not, our huge Tax Cut Initiative WILL be on the Ballot November 5th.

Whether the arrogant and elitist News Departments at Boston ABC, CBS, and NBC like it or not, our End the Income Tax Initiative WILL be on the Ballot November 5th.

Whether the Big Government politicians in the State Legislature like it or not, Massachusetts voters CAN vote to repeal the Income Tax on November 5th.

Whether the High Tax, High Spending Big Government Democratic and Republican candidates for Governor like it or not, the voters will decide whether we End the Income Tax.

We're only 4 days from finishing the signature gathering.

**Progress on Prime TV Ad Blitz**

We've put together a plan and program to reach 2,000,000 Massachusetts voters with Prime TV Advertising on Boston ABC, CBS, and NBC.

2,000,000 voters will each see our ads 9 times.

This is the fastest, most direct way to inform, educate, and persuade 2,000,000 voters of the merit of our Initiative to End the Income Tax. A powerful way to make our Ballot Initiative unforgettable.

And not only will we reach 2,000,000 voters, but we will also capture the names, addresses, and phone numbers of 5,000 to 20,000 prospective supporters...

Because of you, we've raised $81,888 for our TV Ad campaign...

We're ready to produce and edit the TV Ads this week.

We're ready to lock in and pay for the first week of this TV Ad Blitz...

We have Gun Freedom activists who gave up a weekend of target shooting and donated the money they would have spent on ammunition.

A 95-year old retiree just sent us a $5 donation in the mail.

A 40-something professional woman sent us a $250 donation "even though I should be putting this in my retirement fund."

Several homemakers saved money out of their family budgets and donated it to End the Income Tax in Massachusetts.

Most people who donate are people just like you. Just like us. People with jobs, families, and bills...

Please help us shatter the Big Boston Media Blackout of our Ballot Initiative to End the Income Tax.

Howell is running for Governor in MA. Almost all news of her is purposely and maliciously boycotted by the Boston newspapers.

The ballot initiative to end the state income tax has a real chance to pass. Man, would that be something to see -- Boston pols jumping out of their office windows.

They would over ride it the next day. Carla is a very nice woman and I like her and Most of what she says, but in Mass, we need constitutinal ammendments: a selecion.

Confermation of Judges after appointment and periodicly there after.</p.

Bond Issue Voting, no vote no Bond.

Expand the General Court x3, all in single Rep districts.

Along a similiar line I've noticed the people in Tenn. demonstrating against the attemps to pass a state income tax there are getting little or no coverage. Even after the state police were called in to ring the capital building.

Carla Howell, and the Libertarian party, has neither a chance or a place in Massachusetts politics. Not everybody who doesn't get TV airtime is deserving of it.

If this gets on the ballot will it be a "binding resolution" and thus require the elimination of the income tax? Or will it be a 'non-binding' resolution?

Or like in California where the citizens overwhelmingly pass a binding resolution just to have the courts throw it out?

We're not going to let the Boston Globe and Boston Herald

I recall that one of these publications was a liberal toilet paper packed with scumbags (Ellen Goodman, Thomas Oliphant and that ilk) and controlled by the Kennedy machine but I thought the other one was staffed by humans and almost ethical. I don't remember which was which, but are you saying they are both corrupt mouthpieces for the DNC?

Which is why I am no longer one of them. Long ago I voted to end the Massachusetts income tax for myself, by moving.
