Flag Day on June 14 has always been a tribute to Old Glory, but Syracuse, N.Y., is turning the patriotic holiday into a politically correct homosexual event.

The rainbow flag, a gay symbol, will fly over Syracuse City Hall on Flag Day.

"The ceremony will mark the first time a Syracuse mayor issues a proclamation recognizing the contributions of local people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender," says the Post-Standard.

Maria Damiano, flack for Mayor Matt Driscoll, told the newspaper, "This administration is representative of our entire community.

"It's the same for any group who would like this type of ceremony," she claimed. But former city Operations Director Joe Nicoletti said flag raisings were limited to banners representing countries such as Taiwan, Greece or Ireland.

And on June 15, the city will paint a lavender stripe down a street for a "gay pride" parade.

I'd like a flag flown for traditional Christians who believe in Christian sexual morality. And I'm sure Muslims would like a flag, and atheists, and polygamists... It seems like you're no one in today's state and local governments unless you're out having anal intercourse with all your buddies.
