Firearms seizure prompts warning

A SEIZURE of more than 50 weapons during a raid on a private residence in Melbourne's east has prompted a police warning for gun owners to register their firearms.

More than 50 items were seized, including semi-automatic weapons, shot guns, pistols, silencers and ammunition in the raid at a house in Seville yesterday.

Two people have been charged with the illegal possession of firearms and will appear in court at a later date.

Police spokesman Senior Constable Rob Pugh today warned gun owners police had begun conducting door knocks searching for unregistered weapons after the end of the gun amnesty in March.

Persons illegally holding firearms can incur fines of up to $24,000 or four years in prison.

"The gun amnesty has finished, there is no more Mr Nice guy," Sen Const Pugh said.

"Police are conducting door knocks around Victoria so people illegally in possession of a gun better do something about it."

More than 2000 weapons were surrendered and police received more than 1,000 registration applications this year before the gun amnesty ended on March 27.

The amnesty followed the introduction of a strict licensing regime in the wake of the 1996 Port Arthur massacre.

There is some real trouble brewing. Diane Feinstein is willing to kill me to enforce her unConstitutional laws. I am quite certain of that.

Same rules apply up north and I've seen some nice collections in Calgary--all unregistered. Always will be.

Was just fixing to flag you...

Instead I'll use the opportunity to give this thread a 2nd Amendment bump and a reminder that they ARE coming after our guns.

Happiness is a twelve gauge pump that's old enough that it doesn't have a serial number! I'll never let it go.

If DiFi came to my door, I'd tell her to pss off.
The problem with these socialists is that they are also cowards, and will send someone else out to face to wrath and danger of the socialists' edicts.

WOW If that doesn't inspire a check to NRA/GOA/JPFO/SAS nothing will.

Talk about free advertising.

IT COULD HAPPEN HERE

Actually, now anyone with a gun is automatically a crook. Makes the government's job easier. So what if a few innocent people get arrested in the process of the roundup ....oops, I forgot, they aren't innocent since we made them criminals by definition - even though they committed no criminal act. Coming Soon!!! To a neighborhood near you, if Queen Hillary, Sen. Fineswine, Sen. Schmuck Schumer and their ilk have it their way.

Imagine this, its 2008, Hilda beast is elected Czar by a 2000 type election, I cannot imagine her winning a majority so it would only happen in a close election which would be challenged in court I guarantee.

The nation divided, the Congress is close with maybe a slim Republican majority and then the cabinet appointments start.

Sen. Schumer appointed Attorney General, Fineswine Secretary of State and God only knows who would be Hilda Beasts choice for Veep, my guess is it would be a moderate like John Edwards fro NC or some such, it would almost need to go that way to give the ticket any chance in hell. If she chose someone further left it would surly scare off the fence sitting moderates and the undecided voters. So they would need some “balance”.

Year two is approaching and mid terms look like it may stuff the house and senate with right-wings types to counter the dictatorship the huddled masses have installed in the country. So the legislation starts, quite possibly stemming from a “catalyst situation”, how hard would it be for the FBI, BATF under the Czarist regime of Hitlery to cough up a scenario such as Waco, but on a grander scale and make it look like a militia revolt against the government?

The outcome is bad, many people, government LEO’s die and civilian casualties to boot? Imagine a combination of Waco with an OKC style bombing taking place right in the middle of it? The feds out gunned and out numbered. Sweeping legislation is proposed and passed by a narrow majority in both houses or by Hitlery threatening some type of Presidential strong arm move, such as an executive order or whatever else is available to her, I’m sure they will have something up their sleeves.

Accelerated registration, government examination of the number and type of firearms you have, government reviews the entire gun census and decides for the welfare of the state “a number” of guns need to be take off the street. Turn in is ordered under penalty of law, many folks refuse, confiscation starts, folks have planned ahead and have hidden and stashed they guns, cops begin unannounced door to door searches, Amerika is gutted, the Constitution is eviscerated.

Far fetched you say? I hope you are right my friend.

This country is too great to let something like this happen. Law abiding citizens should be allowed to keep and bear arms for the purpose of self-defense, the government especially the police should not fear us, the law abiding crowd, I am pro LEO, pro take the criminals off the street, shoot the terrorist dead where they stand.

It’s when the politicians make 50 million law-abiding citizens criminals with the stroke of a pen that scares me.

With Indonesia having an upsurge of extremist militants and the same for the southern and remote Philipines (Basilan Island) May 27, 2001, of the guérilleros of the group Abu Sayyaf, known for its bloody taking of hostages, the paradise for tourists attacked and seized 20 people, of which Burnham, before regaining its stronghold of Basilan,The Aussies better check their northern neighbors before they start prosecuting their own for being armed and ready.

Of course, a rare few will resist but the ease with which they will be squashed will quickly sober up the rest.

This part has been LITERALLY giving me nightmares for years now! Once just a few are "brought to heel", the remaining mass will fall into step.
