If I recall correctly, Zone Alarm is a firewall application, not a virus protection app.

I would avoid Zonealarm, at least the free version.
It blocked my access to regularly visited sites and it took me weeks to figure out that the only cure was to uninstall it.
Simply disabling it didn't work.
Never did find out why it did that, or how.
