Cedar Point Gay Weekends on Father's Day!

I live here in Ohio, and have recently learned (from the amusement parks own website) that Cedar Point Amusement park (which is a very large regional park), is allowing gay groups to hold their 'gay weekend' get together EVERY year on the same weekend as Father's Day!
What a total 'slap in the face' to families who might wish to take their kids to the park on Father's Day weekend, and the gay themselves have redefined the term 'mean spirited' to purposefully plan their 'takeover' of the park every year on this particular weekend!
I know where I won't be spending another 'red' cent.

Gee, and I was upset that the Met/Yankee games are always on Father's Day weekend.

How sad. And how ironic that it would come on Father's Day, given the missing father love in the life of every homosexual and lesbian.
To: smolensk
if every father stayed away from the park, and told them why, things would change real quick.
I wouldn't go where I wasn't wanted. ever. I'd take my money elsewhere.

I live in Ohio and have heard of this before. This is also the reason me and my family will never walk the infested ground of Cedar Point.

the website for Cedar Point is www.cedarpoint.com, and they have an excellent feedback link on their main page under 'contact us'.
How many of you are willing to take the time and tell them what you think? I have already done so.

I went there on the 4th of July weekend a few years ago, and you would have thought the place was hosting the Northern Ohio Tattoo Festival! Ugh!

In the immortal words of Cousin Eddie in "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation:"
"Are you SERIOUS, Clark?"

Correction: It was not on Cedar Points website that this information was posted (I had too many pages open and got confused), but is actually posted on a gay website under the following link - http://www.gayday.com/otherevents/default.asp Just scroll down until you see 'Sandusky Ohio'.
This was also being discussed on the website for 'Focus on the Family'.
I think it is even more an afront that Cedar Point doesn't have this 'warning' or 'annoucement' on their own website. What? Are they trying to covertly give unsuspecting families a big Father's Day surprise when they get there that weekend?

If it is not a Cedar Point sponsored event I don't quite see where half of the controversy is coming from. Maybe they could offer a "warning" or something, but I don't know what could be done apart from that.

Sandusky, OH "Gay Day at Cedar Point
Always on Fathers Day."
To: Dimensio
Whether they could or not, my main point is to focus on the 'mean spiritedness' of the gay community for even planning it on this weekend, and further, that they have PERMANENTLY planned it for this particular weekend each year in the future.
Three years ago, they took over Pensacola Beach on Memorial Day, which has always been a traditional family weekend (with school just getting out) for families to go down there on vacation. Now that is out too (unless you don't mind being shocked!)

Right, but I don't quite see why ire should be directed at Cedar Point. What is the park to do, quiz entrants on their musical and movie preferences and block any Judy Garland and Barbara Streisand fans?
