See what "dumpy earth shoes" can do to a person?

I joke you not, I am automatically suspicious of people who wear 'earth shoes'.

Yes, it does seem to me that the whole world is a powder keg, just waiting for one little spark.

According to the prophecy of St. Malachy, there are only two popes left (after this pope) before Christ's return. From what I read, there will be an 'anti-pope' also, Catholics splitting into two groups. The good and faithful Catholics will be persecuted and martyred and the world will be involved in another world war, with whole nations being annihilated.

Quite a party.

I think it is also from Garabandal. One of the visionaries said that there will be a sign that everyone in the world will see from wherever they are.

I think the Garabandal prophecy said that the pope would be able to see the "great sign" in the heavens wherever he is, and that it would be broadcast on television.

Remember Our Lady's apparition in; where was it? Egypt, or Turkey? When she appeared and it was caught on television? 10's of thousands of people saw her.

I'm about as laspsed a Catholic as you will find. This mess has given me the same urge you've expressed to defend the Church I was brought up in. The Sacrements and the Scriptures didn't drive me away, the people that were entrusted with the stewardship of the Church did.

Why should I or anyone else let these sick and weak individuals define and attempt to destroy the Church?

Thank you. From Jesus to St. Faustina herself. How good Our Lord is to warn us, and how we should be eternally grateful to St. Faustina for faithfully fulfilling the mission the Lord gave her.

St. Faustina, pray for us.

Yes, Our Lady appeared on top of the Coptic Cathedral in Zeitoun (Zeytun), Egypt. It was broadcast on television and was witnessed by Orthodox, Coptic Christians, Catholic, Anglicans, Protestants, Jews, and Muslims.

Me too! I never liked them. Especially the "dumpy" ones. Way too "tree huggy" for me.

I suspect that St. Malachy's "glory of the olive" is Cardinal Arinze. My prayers anyway.

My advice, always be there for your parish.I once had a pastor who made me beg for everything but I was the only one he said yes to.Start a prayer group or Mass with a spiritual director from outside the parish,in the parish and have it once a month and focus on the Saints,Fatima, etc. When the priests see the success of this they do turn around.Always be there to talk, always give you take on the situation. They really do not get that much from other people and tell him you want to help but never back down from your position. He sent you to someone who beleives in an unapproved seer, always be careful here, you have all your dots connecting and pray, for Our Lady will help you.Never repeat anything Father tells you.Respect him and he will come around and I will pray and invite all reading this to pray.Father we pray for this Pastor through the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady.

The actor's name was Don Ameche. I have never heard of his daughter. The substance sounds like part of the unapproved visions of four young girls at Garabandal, Spain, in the early 1960s. The business about seeing ourselves as God sees us will certainly come to pass but not becfause of any vision or private revelation, approved or disapproved. That comes from the Apocalypse or Revelations, the final book of the Bible. Those alive at the time will run to the hills and try to hide their faces in the rocks but the rocks will cry out: No hiding place, No hiding place. Garabandal also involved a claim that the worse problem facing the Church forty years ago was that of faithless priests leading their flocks to perdition. That alone made approval verrrrry unlikely, as you can imagine. there was also something about Conchita, the main seeress among the 12 year-olds, giving a warning of the chastisement to come, which seemed to copycat Fatima since Lucia who is now extremely old is also supposed to give another such warning. The four Garabandal girls now live in the United States. I believe that two are in Massachusetts, one in New Jersey and Conchita lives with her aging parents in the vicinity of New York City. All apparently enjoy good personal reputations. Two or more repudiated the visions apparently under pressure in Spain but have recanted those denials. The problem with unapproved visions is that they may be satanic in origin but those who love certain of the messages want to believe and they do. Nonetheless, they must be rejected if unapproved and, even if approved, are not necessary as beliefs but MAY be believed.

I think that the suggestion is that the final pope (Peter the Omega) is to be the servant of the Antichrist, at least according to the millenium old prophecies of St. Malachy of Ireland as to the papacy. Actually there are two more popes named on his list. The next is the Glory of the Olive who is supposed to preside over a silver age of Catholicism. John Paul II is known on Malachy's list as Labor Solis: The work of the sun and his papacy was to be a very long and productive one. The list contains an ellipsis of uncertain meaning between Glory of the Olive and Peter the Omega which most likely indicates other unnamed popes between Gloria Olivae and Peter the Omega.

John XXIII was the Rose, which was the most prominent feature in his family coat of arms. Paul VI was the Mountain, which is simply an equivalent of his family name Montini. John Paul I was de Mediatate Lunae, of the half moon. Prior to his election, it was supposed that his most important work might be to forge good relations with Islam. It turned out to be a harbinger of his extremely short reign. I believe that TAN Books in Rockford, Illinois has St, Malachy's predictions still in print.

Why should I or anyone else let these sick and weak individuals define and attempt to destroy the Church?

It's much easier to throw in the towel and leave, I did it for 20 or so uncomfortable years. I was ticked off at all the changes and turned off enough to walk away (it was easier than staying), but I never forgot about the Church and I always missed being "estranged" from Her and away from Him.

I couldn't figure out why I came back with a vengence, now I think I know. God must be calling people back in a time of crisis.

I hope you do go back, and if you don't like what you see in your parish, there are a lot of us who feel the same way, just check these threads. They are good morale boosters!

Try the book "On Being Catholic" by Thomas Howard. It's on Amazon and it is pretty cheap. Then you'll realize why you want to come back.

Why does the media always say, "Priests who abuse
children...." rather than say, "Gay Priests who abuse
boys..."?

Does the NYT dictate the mantra?

Appiritions

Medjugorje has yet to be approved. Your neighbor should contact their local bishop so that the case can be added to the request.

Thank you for your very wise advice. You made it clear - he sent me to someone who is probably kind of nutty because he said she was a traditionalist like me. I am not one to believe in "visions" and "seers" and that kind of thing - in fact, they make me very nervous.

This woman was concerned that the Tabernacle be placed back on the center altar, so she can't be all that bad, but she did seem to place a lot of emphasis on visionaries (she mentioned a few others, but I can't remember their names) but she was saying the rosary when Father introduced us.

This stuff just makes me want to stay home sometimes!

I'll have to look up Kathleen Keating, I'd not heard of her, but the Art Bell connection makes me nervous!

The only catholic he's ever had on that I give any credence to is Father Martin, and I have problems with a couple of things he said but I no longer have the tapes so I can't verify just exactly what he said.

Art Bell says his wife is catholic, but she has some new-age, unorthodox ideas imho. I can't listen very often - not worth the time usually.

Sometimes I enjoy the program for entertainment, but I think thousands of people are in danger of being seriously misled by that program. Kreskin, UFO's, remote viewing, alien abductions, crop circles, a whole slew of nasty occult business imo.

Almost all his guests have websites and are selling books. If you get on the program, your sales will increase. That's pretty much what that's all about.
