Bishop Galante is a disaster -- a despicable and disgusting person who should never become Ordinary of any Diocese.

Watching him in the podium during the debate on norms was almost more than I could bear. He is a terrible person and a dreadful bishop.

Write the Pope and beg him to promote Galante to an obscure post in Madagascar.....

I read sometime ago that Satan had planted his seed in the Vatican sometime in the 60's. There are those who want to "off" JP II. I shrugged it off. But now, I'm not so sure it is wise to shug it off anymore. We need to start by fumigating these so called "priests" like Gardner out of the Church. NOW.

Ironically, Bishop Galante is now being offered to the media as a spokesman for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops meeting in Dallas starting today. Galante, who refuses to crack down on the chat group -- accusing its exposer of "mortal sin" for invading the porn-group's privacy -- is even a canon lawyer and member of the bishops' Ad Hoc Committee on Sexual Abuse.

This is a sad commentary on how far the Holy Church has fallen under the guidance of our US Bishops. The entire scandal is a result of decades of seminary recruiting which excluded independent or orthodox candidates and actively sought out dissidents and homosexuals. This is what we have--and Church attendance is far lower than before this "long march" through the Church began. Move away from Rome? Hardly! Orthodoxy is the only hope we have.

I was born & raised Catholic, attended Catholic school and was an alter boy. If I hadn't left the Catholic Church 20 years ago, I would do so now because of the way the Church is handling this whole mess.

As much as I do trust and love the Pope, I really do wish that he would abandon his merciful stance on the subject and start publicly excommunicating and condemning these creeps. Especially the ones as brazen as this.
