She was referring to the Apparitions of the BVM at Garabandal. The church has not yet taken a stance on these, however, as with other apparitions, there is a huge group of people who believe the messages.
My former neighbor underwent a major conversion, following a visit to Medjugorje. She later aligned herself with this group of believers. Her home looked like a shrine ... no, it looked more like a religious goods store. The neighbors kept their distance, except for me. Her conversion was so dramatic! Two years ago, she sold her home and moved to Emmitsburg, believing that this was where the BVM wanted her to go.
The Apparitions speak of - The Warning (when everyone around the world will suddenly see their souls. Many will not survive this experience; others will line up at confessionals). This will be followed by The Miracle - a permanent reminder. (one of the visionaries knows the date and will announce it one week before it takes place.) Next comes the Chastisement. You can learn more about this at:
ST. MICHAEL'S GARABANDAL CENTER at Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Message which Our Lady has given to the world through the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel. The angel said, "Since my message of October 18 has not been made known to the world and has not been fulfilled, I tell you that this is my last message. Previously, the cup was being filled. Now it is overflowing. Many Cardinals, many Bishops and many Priests are on the road to perdition and with them they are bringing many souls. The Holy Eucharist is being given less importance (honor). We must avoid God's anger with us by our efforts at amendment. If we beg pardon with sincerity of soul, He will forgive us. I, your Mother, through the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel, want to tell you to amend your lives. You are already receiving one of the last warnings. I love you very much and do not want your condemnation. Ask sincerely and we will give to you. You should make more sacrifices. Think of the Passion of Jesus."
Same with my mother, down to the house like a religious goods store. She moved to western Mass. to a like minded community (because Jesus told her to do that) and she is waiting with bottled water and canned goods for the end of the world (since 1986). I don't think she stocks Koolaid, so I'm not that worried. She didn't have a conversion though, she was already religious when she went to Medjugorje, that just put her over the edge.
Medjugorje has yet to be approved. Your neighbor should contact their local bishop so that the case can be added to the request.
