FreePers here get upset if I suggest the feds are not terribly talented nor ethical to protect us from terrorists?

Not to mention the fact that most of the planning and setup for this whole debacle commenced under Bush I.

Unless you have some proof; nothing about Waco suggests reasonable pre-planning.
A "good" plan would have included some event to justify the scale and nature of the initial assault. A "good" plan would have led to a conclusion within hours rather than weeks. A "good" plan would been backed up with some form of evidence rather than the idiotic media gabble and vague allegations of assorted possible sins.

No, this was not a well planned or previously planned for event. It was hasty, inept, brutal, and entirely fascist; my greatest problem with the whole thing is not what the first george Bush had to do with it, but why the second did not put a stop to it.
