When I was attacked by a black gang and beaten with baseball bats in Landover, MD a few years ago, the police who came to the scene -- two out of three of them black -- clearly believed the attack was racially motivated. However, I could not get the local papers to cover the attack. And, when I reported the matter to the FBI as a hate crime, they took no action.
