For all I care, public schools could fire teachers who appeared in religious films. After all, if a porn star shouldn't be a teacher in a public school because he or she might recruit kids into that lifestyle, an actor in religious films might solicited religious converts on public school grounds as well.

Ever hear of the first amendment?

I suspect Tony's private life bled over into his work.

That doesn't answer the question but does offer your speculation. Do you have an answer to the question? Not a problem if you don't.

Ever hear of the first amendment?

So if this guy appeared in Satanic advocacy videos, should he be allowed to teach kids at a public school?

Does the US recognize satanic advocacy as a religion? As sick as it would be, if so I guess not.

Well, that's an interesting question in itself -- governments establishing merit reviews of religions. I'll note, however, that most Christians believe that Satan exists, so it isn't that it is a "fake" religion in their minds, just that the wrong entity is being worshipped.

Okay, I'll give you points for consistency to the Constitution.

And actually I'll reverse here and agree that the Constitution does give special protection to religious beliefs. So under the Constitution, he probably shouldn't be fired for appearing in a religious film.

So don't say I never admit mistakes. :-)

I don’t know how the US officially recognizes religions.

I can only speak from experience, and looking back at my school days I'd have to guess about 10-15% of the male teachers were gay.....and one was a predator who only recently (20 years later) has been exposed and removed.

...none of my gym teachers were gay.
