Isn't Dylan like a born-again Christian or something? Maybe he isn't (technically), but I seem to recall that he went through some kind of "religious" period not too long ago.

FWIW, a Christian rocker back then named Larry Norman did a great Dylan parody song. I think it was called "I'm Only Visiting This Planet." He sounded almost exactly like Dylan. Some of the lyrics, I never forgot.

"This time, last year, people didn't wanna hear

They looked at Jesus from afar

This year he's a Superstar..."

"The Beatles said all you need is love

And then they broke up..."

Good stuff, i may have to see if that recording is still out there.

Larry Norman... hmmm.

99.9% of Christian music leaves me flat, but somebody gave me a tape of a Christian rocker from back in the 60's or 70's, and I liked it. I ended up losing the tape and forgetting the guy's name, but "Larry Norman" is definitely ringing a bell.

One of the songs was called something like "On the Six O'clock News". Do you know if this Norman fellow had a song with a name along those lines?
