'Oxygen Peroxide' is an, ahem, oxymoron. He means Hydrogen Peroxide. 3% H2O2 is a mild bleach, disinfectant, and oxidizer. 98% H2O2 is rocket oxidizer (propellant)--nasty stuff.

I assume they are working with high-concentration hydrogen peroxide. "Oxygen Peroxide" would have to be Ozone or O3. Ozone is very reactive--possibly more than fluorine. It basically considers everything else as fuel. Everything. You. Me. The desk. The jar it is sitting in. The air. Whatever. Worse, I read somewhere that concentrations of O3 higher than 15% in O2 are 'unstable'.

However, it IS a lovely permanganate purple in color.
