I am not Catholic, so the Vatican's endorsement doesn't sway me. However, if the minister at the church which I attend was to endorse it, I would be very vocal in my disagreement. What's next? The Bible set to rap music? Country music? If we're not careful, they might even translate it into some foreign tongue, like Hebrew!!!

So, going to a musical hearing the story of Jesus constitutes hearing the truth does it? What happened to STUDY? There are a lot of people around who claim they cannot get into to something until it is "with the times." Why don't we have Mary's conception of Jesus, by the Holy Spirit, done by a scantily clad Britney Spears? Truth is truth. What does the format matter? Why don't we get Puff Daddy to rap the Word of God for us?
What if you had a relative, a sister perhaps, who jumped in front of a car to save her child's life. Then, one day, someone writes a rock musical about it, complete with dance numbers, songs, etc. I don't know about you, but that would be in poor taste if it was my relative.
What if we had a rock opera about the assassination attempt on Reagan and his subsequent Alzheimers?
