"Jesus Christ Superstar" is a celebration of the life of Jesus, What's the problem with it?

I am also not a fan of Andrew Lloyd Weber, so I don't blame the kid.

"Jesus Christ Superstar" is a celebration of the life of Jesus, What's the problem with it?Jesus Christ is the Son of God, not a rock star. It is disrespectful.

Jesus Christ was the Sacrifice for man, the Creator, the Redeemer. He was Immanuel, which means "God with us".
He wasn't a superstar. He was God.
What's the problem with it? It's irreverent.

"Jesus Christ Superstar" is a celebration of the life of Jesus, What's the problem with it? It displays Judas as a constant thorn in Jesus' side rather than a traitor. It displays Jesus as a frustrated man who can't seem to get his message across. It displays the apostles as coming along for a power trip. It hints at hidden desires between Jesus and Mary of Magdala. It demonstrates Jesus as very uncompassionate in at least one scene.
But overall it is thought provoking. People who ask questions might just be led to The Answer.
Shalom.

It's been a long time since I've heard the whole "Superstar" soundtrack. Does it end with the Resurrection? If there is no Resurrection, it's definitely an incomplete story of the life of Christ.

Jesus Christ Superstar is not related to Jesus life by anything more than the use of His name. It bears no connection at all.

The problem is rock = evil, I guess. Beats me.
