Why is there so much more dysfunction among blk students? Visit any special ed classroom and you will notice it.
Some of it has to do with environment. Had a high school boy killed after school (drugs) last year. When that occurs, you really start thinking about the disparity.
I really think the family or lack of plays a more important part of this picture.

I really think the family or lack of plays a more important part of this picture.I agree and that crosses all racial and economic lines. The sheer lack of real education, coupled with a politcally motivated curriculum and inferior teachers, has compounded the public school problem. Unfortunately, parents haven't look critically at their schools. I believe that is changing.

Good to see the NAACLP is changing its priorities. They looked silly busying themselves with the Confederate Flag at the expense of real problems facing blacks today, like the quality of education black children receive in our schools. Whether they will take on the teachers unions to ensure black children get the same choice as their white counterparts is the $64,000 question.
