Bunk. Florida is still over 70% undeveloped and won't develop at much more than a 4% pace per 10-20 year period (that's Jeb's figures, not mine). The Kissimmee River project with Jeb's support and the Army Corp. of Engineers will correct most of the problems in the Everglades and the lake. If you think a land grab by the state is ok, why don't you start by giving up your home as a wildlife habitat? Because under the rules these people (envirosocialists) are playing by, every square inch of this nation should be returned to its' natural state.

Do you have any figures to back up your hysterical claimis? Because the research I have read says FL has more privately owneds land than anywhere else in this country. Furthermore, Gov. Bush signed a new law to keep it that way. You and others like you do a lot of damage to a cause that can be valid and just, because you think every situation fits into your hysteria. It doesn't.

I am not in favor of land grabs. However, it is time to put the lid on runaway land developement by Land Developers, who care nothing for the Evergaldes and the fact that IT IS our Water supply, and IS the original natural enviornment of Florida, from coast to coast.

These developers are simply chasing big dollars with complete disregard for the quality of life in the over developed areas. It has always been so, and because of big dollars passing hands surreptitiously to less than honest local and state policians, is largely successfull in overdevelopement and ruinous in it's results.

You can scream BUNK all you want, but that doesn't change any of the facts about the Everglades and its relation to the Florida lifestyle we all enjoy, at least for the present.

Defeating the Federal land grabbers does not mean protecting these land developers from enviormental responsibility, by law when necessary!
