Gore in Limbaugh Flip-Flop

On Monday presidential hopeful Al Gore slammed Vice President Dick Cheney for politicizing the war on terrorism by appearing last week on the Rush Limbaugh Show - yet Gore himself once described the conservative megastar talkmeister as a "distinguished American."

Gore complained to San Francisco's Commonwealth Club that the Bush administration's "principal game plan for success in the election a few weeks away was to, quote, 'focus on the war.'"

Then he zeroed in on Cheney's appearance on the top rated talk show.

"Vice President Cheney, meanwhile, has indignantly described suggestions of any such thing as reprehensible - and then the following week took his discussion of the war to the Rush Limbaugh Show."

Despite the caustic reference, Gore sounded almost like a Limbaugh "ditto-head" when he found himself on the same side of the NAFTA debate with the radio host nine years ago.

Debating NAFTA with Ross Perot on "Larry King Live," Gore rattled off a list of individuals he described as "distinguished Americans" who agreed with him on the issue.

"Distinguished Americans from Colin Powell to Tip O'Neill to Rush Limbaugh, Ross Perot, Jr., the head of his business, Mort Meyerson, Orville Swindle, the head of United We Stand, the last time, and Ross Perot, Sr., supported it until he started running for president and attempting to bring out the politics of fear," the then-veep proclaimed, apparently proud to have the conservative talk star's support.

Gore..."There he goes again." Blah, blah, blah, with the new hair look but the same old boring voice and look. Gosh, so stale!

Gore claims that by attacking the Iraq government unprovoked we will set a precedent that other nations will follow. Is Gore too stupid to realize that Saddam Hussein is not a government, but a tyrant?

Atleast Gore hasn't compared Saddam to Jesus like Jesse Jackson...

Yet that is.

If there IS one thing that X-42(i) was SPECTACULARLY good at, it was seeing immediately what a person'a character was and capitalizing upon it. Or the LACK of it, especially. He always surrounded himself with the weak, the wannabes, the corrupt needing protection, and the criminal seeking legitimacy. He had something on EVERYONE in his administrations. And his instincts on this matter were razor-sharp. It is an element of psychopathological behavior - the truly evil have some remarkably-honed instincts for people.

I see Al Gore as a stiffled man ( its way to late for him to change). I have this image of him so completely dominated by a patriarcal and controlling father that rather than a frat boy ( so whats wrong w;/ that) he became a loner ( I believe this is a Gore character trait). Clinton probably saw that Al Gore's spirit was either broken or damaged by his upbringing in a newly rich, newly minted and hoped for political dynasty.

This made him an ideal pick for Clinton. We are living in historic times when men are made (GWB) and unmade.
