Prayer Request for my son

I have a prayer request today. My son, Bill, is going to have serious surgery for bad case of diverticulitis tomorrow (Thursday) morning and will be in hospital for a week. Antibiotics have failed to clear this up and now he's at the stage where his infected diverticulum has formed a connection between his intestine and bladder. Doctor will probably have to do colon resection, pretty serious for my Bill, who is much younger than most who need this operation. I pray that God surrounds him with healing and wholeness and guides his surgeon's hands.
I pray also that Bill will come to know the Lord. His father and I are believers,but he thinks he's too sophisticated and intelligent for that. Dear God, please open his mind and heart and bring him closer to your holy throne even as you heal his body from all sickness and disease..
