"But so far no one's been able to do better than Einstein." Still, Einstein worked in a lowly patent office. Ron Koczor works for NASA.That says a lot.

If an "anti-gravity" process or apparatus could be made workable, it would have untold uses right here at earth's surface. It could be used for long-distance rapid transport, or for excavation of overburden from mining operations, or to dig a sea-level canal across any stretch of land to provide a new commerce route. These principles could be applied to construction of structures that are now impossible, and to stabilize areas of earthquakes or subsidence. In fact, it would be possible to engineer a number of solutions that are now beyond financially feasible answers.
Bring it on.

The trick, he said, was to make a superconducting disc about a foot in diameter, chill it, levitate it over magnets
but Podkletnov specified 5,000 revolutions per minute. SCI's device barely pulls 30 rpm. I am certainly not an expert on the latest developments in ceramics, but I see a 1-foot in diameter ceramic disk spinning at 5000 rpm flying apart like a cheap flywheel on a top fuel funny car.

I had some small peripheral involvement in Boeing's interest in the Podkletnov device. It really was cancelled, any funding pulled.
To my knowledge there is--at present--zero effort at Boeing on this.
