With control of the senate, it is time to replace the leadership of our party with someone that has a spine. Trent Lott has NO cajones and does not know how to wield the power we now enjoy...enough "power sharing".
Little Tommy needs to be moved to the back of the classroom, as does Hillary.
BTW, don't you love the fact that Hillary's vote wont mean sHi* anymore?

Sorry, but Lott's the man. Don Nickles wants a committee chairmanship, which it looks as if he'll get.
There's nobody to challenge to Trent Lott for Majority Leader.

Unfortunately it's going to be almost impossible to get rid of the Senate Minority Leader that "presided over" an unprecidented mid-term gain that turned the minority party to the majority party. Unless somebody can put some backroom screws to him and make him very quietly step aside Lott becomes Majority Leader. Of course even a quiet step aside will put his seat at risk for his re-election, not sure when that is but if it's '04 we can't risk weakening even one seat.

Chester, step aside. Don Nichols, or Bill Frist step up. We need a fighter, and Lott just ain't got the stuff. Bye Chester!

Lets wait a couple of days before starting any cannibalfests. You'll hear from me on Lott at some point, but lets just savor the moment.

Ain't gonna happen.
Unfortunately, Don Nickles won't challenge the little wuss.
I spoke with someone a few months ago at the NRSC (they were looking for $$$), and told them they wouldn't get a cent until they dumped Alice Lott. The young lady told me she hears that a lot.

Lott has 30 years in. I doubt that any leadership will not include him.
Who would you suggest?
To: ModernDayCato
I'd have Mitch McConnell would have my vote as majority leader.

What do ya think about cutting a "deal" with McCain...he's a whore just like the rest of 'em. Give him the reins (and the press ops) and maybe he backs off the presidential "challenger" BS?

First we thank the good Lord. Then we choose a Senate leader. Trent Lott needs to be the GOP librarian, a role that best suits his disposition.

Mitch McConnell is by far the Senator I have the most respect for. Would he do it?
