Newt should have killed NPR when he had the chance.

How so many American Jews can fail to notice that liberal equals anti-Israel these days remains a mystery. Because most Jews in America have long ago dropped any pretense at religious belief, intermarried, and or actively identify the "Jewish experience" as part of the Left in this country. Demographic projections in this country say that within even a generation there will be no identifiable Jewish group other than some small enclaves of Hassidic Jews - they will be like the Amish.

So they spend a thousand words on a famous Palestinian dude and only a few words on an unknown Israeli dude.
This is the way journalism works.
I listen to NPR way more than I should, but they seem to present both sides on this issue. Certainly they are guilty of using "hard right" more than "hard left", but their reporting on Israel and the Palestinians is hardly fever-swamp reporting.
They had a week-long story talking about the history of the conflict and allowed both sides to laud themselves and castigate their opponents. I once again heard that Begin was an Israeli terrorist and once again heard that the other Arab states did nothing to provide land to Palestinians in hopes of creating a conflict that would eventually drive Israel into the sea.
Same old, same old.

Why the h*ll should my tax dollars go to fund a non-stop propaganda outlet for my sworn enemies?
Yo, Republicans in Congress!!!! Wake up!!!
Time to de-fund the left, or you will be out of a job in two years, when the demonRATS regain Congress thanks in part to their absolute control of PBS.

Don't just "say" DEFUND NPR NOW - do what I do:
Write your Congressman and Senator via email or paper - tell them that when budgeting comes up for NPR and PBS - just say NO! Enough is enough.
I feel better now.

NPR's bias even extends to musicians, which I've latterly discovered. I built and run a site regarding the soprano Renee Fleming: what is surprising is how "dirty" NPR finds her commercial success. It is as if in order to be considered a genuine artist, one must somehow be starving, unsuccessful, or a Communist.
Pull the plug, please.
Regards, Ivan
