Shanec posts from a site created by Venezuelian military officers who want to take out Chavez. If a coup goes down, the CIA needs their hands out of the process because they have a tendancy to screw up. Unfortunately, force will probably have to be used and a General will have to impose order until new elections are held.

BTW: I'm a libertarian Republican and an even bigger capitalist pig than most, so save the I'm a fascist flames.

If a coup goes down, the CIA needs their hands out of the process because they have a tendancy to screw up.

1) We only know about CIA mistakes because if the CIA does its job properly, which it does most of the time, no one ever knows about it.

2) The corollary to #1 is that the mainstream press doesn't say much about CIA successes because it is counter to their left-wing agenda.

3) The CIA was very successful in the Panama Crisis and the Afghanistan War of the 80s, not to mention that it had an excellent record during the Cold War of getting access to the highest echelons of the Soviet political system.
