The majority of the so-called "peace" activists who marched past us at the Marine Barracks were very nasty, angry people. This is one time not to bring small children to a protest because of the amount of profanity and hate speech encountered from the leftists. We lost count of the single digit salutes pointed in our direction and many participants screamed at us because we were there exercising our First Amendment rights just like they were.
It isn't easy to stay composed for hours on end during such an onslaught. But we try to use humor to our advantage and defuse situations before it becomes an incident.
