WASHINGTON - The growing number of paid employees on Senator John F. Kerry's early campaign staff has raised questions about whether he will break with the public financing system for the 2004 campaign, as George W. Bush did in his successful campaign for president.

to attract the mindless suburban female vote......absolutely necessary for a dimocratic....to do well in a swing state...

That's a misquote. Should be:

"....to attract the mindless suburban female vote......absolutely necessary for a dimocratic....to swing well in each state...."

''Your rejection of public financing would send a troubling signal to the American people,'' said Don Simon, the acting president of Common Cause, in a Jan. 23 letter to the president and his potential Democratic opponents.

You are wrong there Don. Personally, the idea of public financing of campaigns is abhorrent to me. I don't want my tax dollars spent on some yahoo who I sure as h*ck don't want to win. Bush is sending the right message, not the wrong one. You would think you could figure that out when only 11% support the stupid check off!

LOL! I fooled you! Those are actual pre-op and post-op photos of Kerry himself. Amazing what you can do with plastic surgery, eh?

Thanks for the pic of Kerry. I never noticed before but he & his hair look like those battery operated people in the battery commercials a while back.

Amount Democratic candidates raised last year from individuals who gave at least $1 million: $36,000,000
Amount Republican candidates raised last year from individuals who gave as much: $3,000,000

I suppose it shouldn’t be a surprise that the party that loves to tax the rich….takes a lot of money from the rich. The list of the top individual contributors from 2002 can be viewed at the Center for Responsive Politics’ invaluable website Open Secrets. Interesting: while donors giving more that $1 million comprise a total $36/3 million Dem/GOP split, donors giving less than $1000 split $46/72 million Dem/GOP. Don’t these poor donors know there’s a class war going on?!?

More data: The top individual contributor is Haim Saban who gave over $9 million to Democrats and not a cent to Republicans. The top overall donor was…Saban Entertainment, which gave almost $11 million to Democrats. In case you were wondering where Haim Saban got his cash, it was from such diverse entertainment shows such as “Power Rangers”, “Power Rangers Zeo”, “Power Rangers Turbo”, “Power Rangers Time Force” and “Power Rangers Lost Galaxy.” The top industry for donations was “Lawyers” with over $82 million given in 2002, three-quarters of which went to Democrats.

Saban,a Dem worshipper, is a name long-known to this site for his Dummycrat connections.
Saban also came up with the big bucks for McAuliffe's bigshot plans for the DNC's Hdq that were shot down.

OCT 22, 2002 The Democratic National Committee is shifting money originally set aside to renovate its Washington, D.C. headquarters to the party's main soft money account for the general elections. As Capital Eye reported last month, the DNC had roughly $15.5 million set aside in a building fund to pay for the renovations. But the Associated Press reports that some Democratic candidates complained that they needed the money for the elections instead. The DNC had $4.8 million in its overall fund at the start of October, while the Republican National Committee started the month with more than $30 million. So DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe asked Hollywood screenwriter Stephen Bing and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" creator Haim Saban, who had each given $3 million to the building fund, to re-direct their donations to the overall account instead.

And the big under-the-table contributors were the unions.

A vote for Kerry would be a vote for "Big Ketchup" If Keery wins he'll most likely declare war on Mexico and Chile so he can get his hands on their vast tomato resources for his buddies in Big Ketchup!

NO BLOOD FOR KETCHUP!!!

Terry McAuliffe apparently swung by the FReeper booth at CPAC yesterday and I MISSED HIM!!!

I gotta give the boy credit fer having the cajones to do that, but if I'd been there, he'd have had to take a swing at me fer all the KRAP I wouldda spewed his way...LOL!! Also, got Horowitz to sign his latest book, "Uncivil Wars"

"To Mud Boy Slim
FReep the World!!
D.S. Horowitz"

I missed him speaking this year, but I saw him last year and he's really got an interesting perspective on life...I wouldn't wish his upbringing on my worst enemy, but he's really got his head on straight now, IMHO.

Good day so far...MUD

"an heiress to the Heinz ketchup fortune."

This should be good. The libs gloated for years over Ronald Reagan supposedly saying ketchup was food. Kerry now seems to agree. Mana from momma. How much better can it get?
