Perhaps one of the most crucial questions in a war with Iraq is whether or not the Iraqi military will use weapons of mass destruction (WMD). There have been numerous studies concerning the amount, if any, and nature of Iraqs WMD. The debate of this very topic is the central issue before the UN Security Council and at this time appears to have the Security Council divided. On the other hand, there seems to be almost no data concerning intelligence analysis on Iraqs potential to use its WMD, provided they have any, in a conflict with the United States or a U.S. led coalition.
CPI News has been provided recently declassified military and intelligence documents concerning Iraqs propensity to use WMD that were written during the Gulf War. Little if any change in the Iraqi military or political structure has occurred since the end of the Gulf War, which makes these documents useful in understanding the potential threat that Iraq poses in using any WMD that it may have.
