Several years ago, I saw a show on one of those science channels wherein folks magnetically levitated frogs and spiders. Don't recall whether the show was "Beyond 2000" or "The Next Step".

IIRC, it was the iron in the hemoglobin in the blood that was reacting to the magnetic field...

Just recently I visited a museum in Minneapolis, MN called 'The Bakken'. There were videos showing a levitated frog among other things. They described in detail exactly how it works. Really crazy stuff.
