Blix: US was bent on war (Accuses US of fabricating evidence against Iraq) UN BARF ALERT

Blix: US was bent on war

War against Iraq was a foregone conclusion months before the first shot was fired, the chief weapons inspector Hans Blix has claimed. In a scathing attack on Britain and the US, Mr Blix accused them of planning the war "well in advance" and of "fabricating" evidence against Iraq to justify their campaign.

Letting rip after months of frustration, he told the Spanish daily El Pais: "There is evidence that this war was planned well in advance. Sometimes this raises doubts about their attitude to the [weapons] inspections."

Mr Blix said Iraq was paying a "a very high price in terms of human lives and the destruction of a country" when the threat of banned weapons could have been contained by UN inspections.

The 74-year Swedish diplomat made clear that he believes he was misled by President Bush. At a White House meeting last October Mr Bush backed the work of Unmovic, the UN inspection team.

But at the time Mr Blix knew "there were people within the Bush administration who were sceptical and who were working on engineering regime change". By the start of March the hawks in Washington and London were growing impatient.

He said he believed that finding weapons of mass destruction had been relegated as an aim and the main objective had become the toppling of Saddam Hussein.

Blix and Ambassador Al-Combover can pick up their final check at the security shack on the way out.

CONCLUSION - Blix is partially responsible for the tortures, murders, and pain which accrued during his coverup.

The only problem with the Blix rant is that Saddam could have saved himself anytime he chose up to the very end, by just showing the inspectors where his toys were, and otherwise making it clear that the fight was out of him (Bush had formally abandoned regime change as his bottom line Mr. Blix). But Saddam wanted a more glorious final exit, and yes, Bush was delighted to indulge him, as were so many of us.

Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah, hey, hey, hey, hey....good-bye!

There will be inspectors in there, if not already, before too long, but they will be GOOD ones. Ones that know day from night, etc.

He was raked over the coals today by an Iraqi exile who worked on wmd in Iraq, and he said Blix was a "fool". So it is not only us!

Mr Blix said Iraq was paying a "a very high price,,,,,," when the threat of banned weapons could have been contained by UN inspections.

Yep, 'ol Blixie was in favor of never-ending inspections. That's got to be the best retirement job ever, having the power of life-and-death over an entire country.

The 74-year Swedish diplomat made clear that he believes he was misled by President Bush. At a White House meeting last October Mr Bush backed the work of Unmovic, the UN inspection team.

No, Hans, it's you who misled GW. He thought that the U.N. (France and Germany) might be serious about disarming Iraq, this time.

Ah yes. The sole resident of Blixenstein, where everything is peaceful, no one is evil, and weapons of mass destruction don't exist.

Blix is actually correct on his first point. War was a foregone conclusion, because Saddam refused to give in and because Inspector Clouseau Blix didn't stand a chance of finding the WMD in the first place, mainly because he didn't want to. Blix couldn't pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel.

As for planning for the war "well in advance", Mr. Bonehead apparently doesn't realize that there are invasion plans at the US DoD for every jerkwater country on the planet, with the possible exception of Blixenstein.

Yes sir, old blix would prefer a good old murdering dictator anyday over those war mongering Americans. The fact that much of the worlds humans live on their knees in chains is of no interest to Blix.

Lets just do it. Get out of the UN and don't pay em a dime. Instead give the money back to the American tax payers!

He is a Swedish diplomat and 74 years old.

Bet his daddy had strong contacts with the Nazis, he was in the Hitler youth Swedish chapter.

They the Swedes are still po because they lost all the rebuilding contracts for Germany after WWII, and had to settle for replanting the trees along the Champes Elysees.

As far as I can tell, the only sure thing was that the incompetent Hans Blix couldn't find his ass in the dark with both hands, let alone weapons in Iraq.
