Yeah, Isn't that something? He's in Belarus. Do we have enough assets in region to go in and get him? ;)

"Gosh, Mr. Kim...you know, nukes aren't really designed to be handled by semi-educated peasants...accidents have been known to happen...and I really resent your irresponsible speculation that we nuked Yongbyon..."

"Actually, the real news is NOT that North Korea has made some crazy statement, but rather that the Bush Administration is torquing the NK's by ending the "talks" early...Talks that the NK's have been begging for to such an extent that the NK's caved on GWB's "multi-lateral" point so that China was included.

I don't think the NK's had any intention of actually "Talking", my own take on this is we should never have given an inch, having China in the mix is not "multi-lateral", at least in my view. I think the NK's viewed these talks as caving in on our part, so they figured they could say what they wanted and get away with it.

I dunno. I've supported Bush on everything. I think he has been brilliant. But this situation is very dangerous---even more so than Iraq---because these guys a) clearly have nukes; b) are supported by the most populous nation on earth; and c) are led by a guy who is crazier than Saddam.

"I'm deeply concerned," and I ain't Daschle.

I wonder how many land based aircraft the U.S. has placed in S.E. Asia in the last 30 days?

Hope we've got at least 1 0r 2 Aegis class ships out there in addition to the 3 Japan deployed last month.

I'm "deeply concerned," too.

But I don't let it bother me, because if the pipsqueak wants to commit "suicide by Dubya," it'll happen no matter what.

NK offical turned to the US offical and said "Do something about it!""

Why don't we just take some BIGGER NUKES over there and place them all around HIS neighborhood. Then form a blockade around the pipsqueak.

To which Powell should have replied (quoting Wyatt Earp from "Tombstone"):

" “Skin that smokewagon and see what happens . . . I’m getting tired of your gas, now jerk that pistol and go to work. I said throw down, boy! . . . You gonna do something, or just stand there and bleed?”

Nice term for it. The only question is whether it will take 1 B-53 bomb or 2.
