President Bush and First Lady Laura kicked off another season of Tee Ball on the South Lawn of the White House today, as the Naval Base Little League Yankees from the Naval Base at Norfolk played the Fort Belvoir Little League Braves from Fort Belvoir, VA. Earlier this morning, the First Couple attended church services at St. John's Church. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

You and your idea of the Daily Dose are A GIFT GIVEN to each of us ... which lifts the heart, wipes away the tears, heals the wound, and nourishes courage. THANK YOU!!!
Enjoy your sabbatical. You will be missed, but your subs have shown themselves to be 'of the same cloth' as you ... how blessed we are!

Started picking strawberries yesterday and will have black raspberries before long. I love having fruit in my own back yard.
My Mom and Dad came down to help us celebrate my Father-in-Law's 70th birthday. We went out to a local park and had a lovely picnic, then listened to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra play for an hour and a half right on the beach. It was wonderful. I gave my Dad his belated Father's Day gifts, a complete set of the Cold War Medal and a Blue Star service banner with 4 stars for his 4 kids in the military. I also re-did his ribbons, as his were old and dirty. He was very touched. I pinned the mini Cold War Medal to his pocket before we went to the picnic.

Doesn't the President look absolutely stunning in blue!! [He's also at his absolute best around children -- he will soooooooooo enjoy being a 'grand daddy'!!]
Rintense: Thanks so much for your dedication to this thread -- you deserve some time off! [Relative to your work load, I feel your pain; summer is the busiest time of the year for my office AND my children are out of school -- a deadly combination!]
Rintense subs: Thanks so much for agreeing to post the DOSE for Rintense -- what would we do without you guys!!!

The large mansions along Ocean Ave..oh, probably go for anywhere from 1.5 to 6 million or more..
I like the smaller Victorians.. the little Italiante with all that cresting on top, is the house of my dreams...
those? Probably 250,000 on up...
In the series of pictures that mtngrl posted for me..is a picture of The Arundel Inn, (two of them, actually), now that would be a great Freeper gathering place!

When I went to Kennebunkport a few yrs. back you were able to walk down on the rocks across from Walkers Point. Do they allow that anymore? It was also something that President Bush 41 happened to be just across the cove at the dock at that time too! Got to see him through my binoculars with his dog Sadie and apparently Jeb was there that day as Florida's state flag was up on the pole too as I learned later on, but I was too busy keeping an eye on 41 and in wonder of it all. That St. Ann's church is also the church his mother and father were wed in.

rintense: With appreciation for your dedication in posting the daily dose of Dubya! It is a joy to see these pictures which are usually not printed in the liberal newspapers.
And special thanks to all who are stepping in to keep this wonderful thread going during your well deserved hiatus.

Dean was absolutely terrible. Boy, is it obvious when the left doesn't want a candidate to succeed. Timmy nailed him to the wall. I sure wish Tim would do his homework like that for all his guests. The Republicans, telling the truth, would do great under those circumstances.
We were watching Fox News Sunday, and Meet the Press while in the freshly cleaned and filled hot tub, today. I do believe it was such the great thing, that will become a Sunday ritual. I said, "Karl HAS to be watching, and loving every minute of this interview!"
Dean was SUCH an idiot, excuse me...I mean true dem! ha ha
Dem means forever being the VICTIM, the GUILT RIDDEN, or the LAZY.

I guess I created some confusion here..
Mtngrl posted the pictures that I took in Kennebunkport, as I cannot with this old beast of a computer, I'm sorry if it created confusion.
You may walk around on the rocky beach across from Walker's Point before you get to the checkpoint that I took a picture of..after that point, no way!
:-)

How nice to see you here this evening!
Fruit growing right outside is wonderful, and tastes so much sweeter than supermarket stuff!
We have two small apple trees here, and those will be great come Fall!
Sounds like you had a lovely day, and what you did for your Dad was sweet and thoughtful..you are a very special person..
