Baby dies during bath in cleaning fluids

DETROIT (AP) -- An 8-month-old girl died Sunday in a five-gallon bucket of household cleaning fluids, police said.
Detroit police officials told WXYZ-TV the mother admitted she had been bathing the baby in a mix of Pine Sol and Mr. Clean
"It had some water in it and we believe some kind of cleaning solution in the water," homicide investigator Barbara Simon said.
Several neighbors who heard the woman screaming tried to revive the infant girl, but she was pronounced dead at a Detroit hospital.
Police were questioning the mother Sunday night. An autopsy was set for Monday.

There were some other articles about this.
The mother first told the police that she went to sleep and her 7 year old woke her up and found the baby on the bathroom floor with the bucket tipped on it.
Upon further investigation it was learned that she actually was bathing the baby in the cleansers.
The mother is 25, she has 5 children.
