Prayer for our American Heroes and Our Nation

Uzziah kept on seeking God … and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him prosperous…God helped Uzziah defeat the Philistines, the Arabians , the Meunites. The Ammonites paid tribute to Uzziah, and his reputation extended as far as the border with Egypt as he became stronger and stronger… he also possessed large herds…He had many farmers and vinedressers throughout the hills and fertile lands because he loved farming. Uzziah kept a standing army, equipped for battle, garrisoned in divisions according to an organizational structure …In addition, Uzziah equipped the entire army with shields, spears, helmets, body armor, bows, and stones for use in slings. He also had various siege engines built by skilled designers and placed them on the towers and on the corner ramparts that could fire arrows and very large stones. His reputation spread far and wide, and he was marvelously assisted until he grew very strong.

2 Chronicles 26:5-15

FATHER, how we love YOUR WORD. It opens our hearts to see, and I love these verses that show us a man that was blessed by YOU because he kept on seeking YOU. It makes me think of Old America…our nation that sought YOU, that listened to our forefathers and was blessed. Whose amber waves of grain, and purple mountains majesty were all part of THY GRACE that YOU shed over us. And we too loved the farmlands of providence that fed our country with work and with food. With CHRIST at the realm, we had a strong army, fully equipped with valiant men and all the equipment they needed. And our President held honor among the nations for his reputation was that of a man of GOD.

And now, we stand at this threshold: Verse 16… But after he had become strong, in his arrogance he acted corruptly and became unfaithful to the LORD his God…OH GOD, how we pray for a restoration full and complete, for our country, we have fallen so far. LORD, grant us leaders that will seek Godly counsel; LORD, renew our nation’s land so that we may work hard again and be sufficient in growing our own crops and supplying our own energies. Raise up a Commander in Chief who will CARE for our military men and women, and honor them with that which they need to be successful and strong. OH GOD, our men and women need a leader that wears a reputation of STRENGTH and GODLINESS for their morale. OH GOD, we pray for this.

Verse 21 … And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a house set apart, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD…Dear LORD, this brings us to a reality we seek YOUR MERCY for. We have become sick, unholy, and an outcast among the nations who once looked to us because we know, LORD, we know, that they knew we SERVED the GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC and JACOB, the GOD OF ISRAEL, the GOD OF THE BIBLE. And in our sickness, our leaders have forsaken our greatest alley, Israel. OH GOD, our two nations stand at the GATE of HEAVEN. And we, YOUR sons and daughters, JOINT HEIRS with CHRIST because of CHRIST, for GRACE to be poured out upon us. We pray for the SALVATION of all ISRAEL, we pray for HEALING in our NATION, we PRAY for UNITY in the SPIRIT among all believers Jew and Gentile alike, so that we may be a LIGHT to all NATIONS, because of YOUR GREAT GOODNESS. We ask, we pray all these things, IN JESUS NAME…for HE IS THE KING OF GLORY. Amen.
