grumpa plays fast and loose with the treatment of idioms.

he likes to run to
..its an analogy

or

its a metaphor

regardless of what the technical requirements an idiom must meet to be a metaphor or analogy or parable or any other of the over 200 idioms in the english translations.

he just interchanges them to fit what ever violence to the text his ideology pride and stiff neck requires. its a common con man technique.
